Conference and Awards Luncheon Location: The CORE (Center of Recreational Excellence), located at 4827 N Lovington Hwy, in Hobbs, New Mexico, is the city’s new $63.5 million, 158,000 square foot, multi-generational recreation center that opened on June 2, 2018. Golf Tournament & Tuesday Evening Social Location: Shotgun start on the afternoon of Tuesday, August 20, at Rockwind Community Links located at 5001 Jack Gomez Blvd in Hobbs, is the city’s award-winning golf course that opened in May 2015. Rockwind was recently ranked #3 on Golfweek’s Best Courses You Can Play in New Mexico.

Wednesday Evening Social Location: Join us at the Turf Club at Zia Park Casino Hotel & Racetrack located at 3901 W Millen Dr in Hobbs on Wednesday, August 21 for a social dinner that will feature complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. The Starting Gate Bar & Grill will be the site for the after-party party! Tables will be reserved for NMRPA Conference attendees.

Thursday Evening Private Pool Party: Join us for complimentary light hors d’oeuvres at the CORE at  7:00 p.m. to be followed by a Private Pool Party for all NMRPA Conference attendees and guests (guests must register and pay a fee) in the CORE’s award winning indoor water park, CORE Splash! Splash was recently honored by the World Waterpark Association with a Leading Edge Award for the “WOW! Factor” and use of technology. Bring your swim suit and get ready to have fun in CORE Splash from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. NMRPA Conference attendees will be able to use all of the CORE’s amenities. The CORE will close at 10:00 p.m. (aquatics amenities close at 9:30 p.m.).

      You may choose to complete the Certified Pool Operator (CPO) education track during the annual NMRPA conference.

      This course will be taught by a National Pool and Spa Foundation Certified Instructor and those passing the exam will receive their CPO certification. Please plan to bring a calculator to the course, as you will NOT be able use the calculator on your phone during the exam.  This course will take place on Wednesday and Thursday, August 21 & 22.         You may choose to complete the Journeyman Irrigation License course education track during the annual NMRPA conference. If you choose to do this instead of attending the rest of the conference, remember you can still join us for the evening socials and activities for an additional $50!

        This course will prepare participants to take the exam to receive their Journeyman Irrigation License. (The exam is NOT a part of this Test Prep Course.) This two day test prep course will take place on Wednesday and Thursday, August 21 & 22. Site TBA.

        Participants can expect to gain in-depth knowledge of irrigation system maintenance & troubleshooting techniques, backflow prevention requirements, and sports turf management techniques.

        For those who already possess a Journeyman Irrigation License, 8 CEU’s towards annual license renewal can be obtained by attending the first day of this course.

          You may choose to complete the Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) education track during the annual NMRPA conference. If you choose to do this instead of attending the rest of the conference, remember you can still join us for the evening socials and activities for an additional $50!

          The two day course, and 1/2 day exam will enable those who pass the exam to receive their CPSI Certification.

          The option to take the CPSI exam via computer based testing is available through the NRPA. To obtain additional information please visit www.nrpa.org/cpsi Please be advised if you register to take the examination with the course, you will not receive a refund to take your exam via computer based testing at a later date. Please decide now if you would like to take the exam on Day 3 of the course or via a Computer Based Exam at a later date.

          A candidate who has a disability may request a special accommodation; the request must be submitted in writing at the time of course or exam registration. In order to properly accommodate all persons with disabilities it is recommended that all requests be made 45 days prior to the scheduled date for the course and exam.

          English as second language (ESL) candidates may request a time extension and/or the use of a strict translation dictionary. Request forms/fees must be submitted to NRPA no less than 30 days prior to the exam. The request form is available online at www.nrpa.org/cpsi.
