Base fee:
  • This is for up to two (2) free conference tickets allotted to NMRPA member agencies that have between 11-20 members. A registration code is required to redeem the free registrations.   • The National Recreation and Parks Association’s Playground Maintenance Course will be offered during the 2024 NMRPA State Conference. The course will be held on Wednesday, September 18, from 8:30am - 4:30pm in the Hobbs City Hall Annex located at 200 E Broadway. This is a less intensive course than the Certified Playground Safety Inspector Course. This course provides participants with an understanding of basic playground hazards, applying safe maintenance practices on equipment, identifying surfacing types and proper maintenance procedures, and establishing proper record keeping practices. Participants receive a certificate upon completion of the Playground Maintenance Course. The course is 6.25 hours in length and will include continental breakfast and lunch. Participants will also visit a local playground (must provide your own transportation). Cost for the course is $175.

    This course DOES NOT include registration for the 2024 NMRPA State Conference or any events, or activities associated with the 2024 State Conference. Please register for the State Conference, separately, if you wish to attend.

We're going back to Hobbs, Hobbs, Hobbs. We're going back to Hobbs...stylin', profilin'. 

The 2024 NMRPA State Conference presented by ExerPlay is being hosted by the City of Hobbs, the Hobbs Recreation Department, and the Hobbs Parks and Open Spaces Department, September 17-20. If you attended the 2019 State Conference, or the 2022 State Conference, both of which were held in Hobbs, you know that Hobbs does it right! 

The main Conference site will once again be the CORE, the City of Hobbs', $63.5 million/158,000 square foot, award-winning, multi-generational recreation center. The 2024 State Conference promises to provide outstanding opportunities for learning, networking, socializing, having fun, and making new friends.

Already, a DRAFT of the 2024 State Conference Schedule of Events is on the NMRPA website, as are both Sponsorship and Exhibitor Information, and Keynote Speakers' and Educational Presenters' Opportunities.

Highlights of the 2024 State Conference, include at this time: The Welcome to Hobbs Social on Tuesday evening, September 17; Educational Sessions starting on Wednesday morning, September 18; the opening of the Exhibit Hall on the morning of Wednesday, September 18; Lunch with Exhibitors on Wednesday and Thursday, September 18 & 19; The 2024 NMRPA Awards Dinner and Opening Keynote Address (dinner will be served) on Wednesday, September 18; Time to Get Out and Play on Thursday afternoon, September 19; a "specially designed for NMRPA" workshop on Thursday afternoon, September 19, Communication by Design" by Annie Frisoli, and if you loved her Leadership By Design during 2022 and 2023, you will love this one as well; back for a second year, the Parks Maintenance Ro-day-o sponsored by The PlayWell Group; the Thursday Night Social and Keynote Address which will be another special appearance by Annie Frisoli who has promised another fun, engaging learning opportunity held at Hobbs High Schools new C-Tech Campus; the NMRPA Annual Meeting held on the morning of Friday, September 20.

The above is not an all inclusive list! 

The 2024 State Conference will conclude at approximately 10:30am on Friday, September 20, and everyone who is present at the NMRPA Annual Meeting will receive a FREE Grab N' Go Meal to help get you started on your way back home.
